For the invention entitled’’Fast codec with high compression ratio and minimum required resources’’P- 696/02, the filed patent application to the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia is an excellent example of treating legal protection not only in Serbia but also before European Patent Office and other Patent Offices worldwide. The patent application was at first rejected before the European Patent Office, but after the raised objection to Director of the European Patent Office it was accepted that European patent application pertaining to designated invention number 03 819 106,0 (1 604 528) should enter further procedure with 224 claims.
